Two things generate most of the yard debris we haul in Scottsdale. The first is monsoon season: a storm comes through, a mesquite or a palo verde loses a limb, and suddenly half the yard is on the ground. The second is trimming season, when a stack of palm fronds turns into something no green bin is going to take.
The third, and the one people call about most urgently, is an HOA letter. Scottsdale associations are quick to notice desert landscaping that has got away from someone, and the compliance window is usually short. We work seven days a week, so a Friday letter can be a Saturday morning pickup. Send a photo of the pile and the gate or side yard it has to come through, and we will confirm the same day.
We take fronds, branches, brush, trimmings, cactus, sod, dirt and old landscape rock, plus the patio furniture, planters and broken irrigation that usually come with it. Rock and dirt are heavy and get priced by weight as well as volume, so photograph the pile next to something for scale. We rake the area before we go. For remodel or hardscape material, use construction debris removal; for a shed or old fencing that needs taking apart first, use light demolition.
We run seven days a week, so a compliance letter that lands on a Friday does not have to wait until the following week.
We rake up after
The pile leaves and so does what was under it. The area gets raked before we do, which is usually what the HOA is actually looking at.
Rock, dirt and heavy material
Old landscape rock, sod and dirt are fine — just show us the pile with something in frame for scale so the weight is priced properly.

Yard debris removal in Scottsdale: the monthly brush and bulk pickup or Haulo?
The City of Scottsdale runs a monthly brush and bulk collection for residents on city collection. Piles go out no sooner than three days before the Monday of your area’s week, no larger than 10 ft long, 6 ft wide and 4 ft tall, with brush and bulk in two separate piles and limbs no longer than 6 ft and under 12 in across.
Scottsdale’s monthly brush pickup wants limbs no longer than 6 ft and under 12 in across, in a separate pile from bulk items, and refuses dirt, rock and sod. Haulo takes the limbs and trunks over that size, the rock and sod, and storm debris that cannot wait for your area’s week.
Haulo is in Scottsdale every day, with same-day service for texts before 7 p.m., every neighborhood included, with no waiting for up to a month.

Good to know
Questions, answered.
How much does yard debris removal cost in Scottsdale?
The price depends on the amount and type of material, its weight, access, and labor. Send photos of each pile for an estimate; we confirm the agreed price before loading.
How soon can Haulo get to Scottsdale?
Same-day appointments are available in Scottsdale. Call or text to confirm the current schedule, route, and truck capacity for your pickup.
Do I have to drag everything to the curb first?
Never. Leave it exactly where it sits — garage, attic, back bedroom, side yard. Our Scottsdale crew does all the carrying and loading, then sweeps up before we head out.
What happens to my stuff after yard debris in Scottsdale?
Item handling depends on the load, item condition, and the options available at pickup time. Ask us about handling options for reusable, recyclable, electronic, or specialty items when you book.
Can I use Scottsdale bulk trash instead of Haulo for yard debris removal?
Yes, when it fits the rules: monthly, by area; out no sooner than three days before your Monday, 10 ft × 6 ft × 4 ft; brush and bulk in separate piles, and nothing on the refused list (dirt, rock, sod, concrete, construction debris, auto parts and hazardous waste). If it can wait for up to a month and you can get it to the curb, the city is the cheaper choice and we will say so. Haulo is for what does not fit: items still inside, more than 10 ft × 6 ft × 4 ft; brush and bulk in separate piles, refused materials, or a date that cannot wait for up to a month.
What does Scottsdale bulk trash refuse that Haulo will take?
Scottsdale refuses dirt, rock, sod, concrete, construction debris, auto parts and hazardous waste. Of those, Haulo takes dirt, rock, sod, concrete and construction debris, along with branches, brush, dirt, rock and sod and oversized single items. Hazardous waste stays off our trailer as well; the what-we-cannot-take guide lists the drop-off programs.
