Appliance removal

Appliance Removal Services

Serving Mesa, the East Valley and the Phoenix metro with upfront pricing.

Refrigerators, washers, dryers, ranges, dishwashers and water heaters, carried out from wherever they sit and hauled away. Insured crew, our own people, price confirmed from your photos before we lift anything.

A dead fridge in the garage or a washer that finally quit is heavy, awkward and too big for the bin. Haulo brings the dolly and straps and takes the appliance out through whatever door, hallway or side gate stands between it and the trailer. You do not need to drag it to the curb first.

We work across Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Tempe, Scottsdale and Phoenix every day. Text a photo of the unit and the path out and we come back with a price.

What this service handles

Household and light-commercial appliances, working or not, from homes, apartments, garages, rentals and offices.

  • Refrigerators and freezers (upright, chest, side-by-side)
  • Washers and dryers, stacked or side by side
  • Ranges, ovens, cooktops and range hoods
  • Dishwashers and microwaves
  • Water heaters and small water softeners
  • Window and portable AC units
  • Wine fridges, mini fridges and ice makers
  • Several appliances in one trip during a move or turnover

What we cannot take, and what we assess first

Two different lists. The first is a hard no; the second just needs a photo and a sentence before we confirm.

We cannot take

  • Solvents, thinners, stains and other flammable liquids
  • Gasoline, motor oil, antifreeze and other automotive fluids
  • Propane tanks and other gas cylinders

We assess first

  • Paint — we can usually take it, but send a photo of the cans first
  • Hardwired, gas-connected or plumbed units — tell us whether the connection has already been shut off and disconnected
  • Built-in units still fastened into cabinetry
  • Commercial refrigeration and large walk-in components
  • Anything upstairs with a tight turn — a photo of the stairwell helps

What appliance removal costs

Haulo prices from your photos, and the price is confirmed before anything is loaded. What moves the number is straightforward:

  • How many appliances are going, and their size
  • Stairs, elevators, tight turns and long carries to the trailer
  • Whether a unit is still connected and needs to wait on a disconnection
  • Built-in or fastened units that take extra time to free
  • Whether other junk is going out on the same trip — it is usually cheaper together

Typical range: $125–$225 for one or two appliances; a single unit is often at the minimum of $99. Have a budget? Say so — we would rather work with it than lose the job. A single appliance is one of the smaller jobs we do; combining it with other items on the same visit is the easiest way to get more for the trip charge. Typical ranges for common jobs are on the pricing page; they are planning examples, not quotes.

How appliance removal works

  1. 01

    Send photos and access details

Text a photo of each appliance and the path to where a truck can park, and say whether it is still connected.

  2. 02

We confirm the scope, the price and an arrival window

We reply with a price and a same-day or next-available window. If a gas or water line still needs disconnecting, we tell you before the visit.

  3. 03

The crew removes the agreed items and cleans up

The crew carries the unit out, loads it, sweeps up any debris from under it and takes payment when the job is done.

What happens to the appliance

Appliances go to a scrap recycler for metal recovery, with refrigerant-bearing units handled so the refrigerant is recovered properly. A working unit in good condition goes to a donation drop-off on the route — Habitat for Humanity ReStore or St. Vincent de Paul, whichever is accepting that day — when it will be taken; that depends on the unit, so it is not something we promise in advance.

Haulo does not publish a recycling or landfill-diversion percentage.

Appliance removal questions

Do I need to disconnect the appliance first?
Electric units that simply plug in: no, we unplug them. Gas, hardwired or plumbed units (ranges, dryers, dishwashers, water heaters) should be shut off and disconnected before we arrive, by you or a qualified tradesperson. Tell us the status when you send the photo and we plan around it.
Can you get a fridge down the stairs or out of an apartment?
Yes. Stairs, elevators and narrow halls are normal for us; a photo of the stairwell or the tightest doorway lets us plan the carry and price it correctly.
Do you take a fridge that still has refrigerant in it?
Yes. Refrigerant-bearing appliances go to a facility that recovers the refrigerant properly. You do not need to have it evacuated first.
Can you take other things in the same trip?
Please do. Furniture, boxes, yard debris or a garage corner can go on the same load, and it is usually the cheapest way to get everything gone at once.
Do I need to be home?
Someone needs to give access and confirm what goes. If the appliance is in a garage or side yard and you have confirmed the scope by text, we can often work without you there — just say so when you book.
Can you come today?
Text before 7 p.m. and same-day is usually available — a crew is dispatched within the hour; after 7 p.m. we book you for the next day. Send photos and we confirm the window.

Still not sure about something? Text a photo to (480) 299-4648 and we’ll tell you.
