Portable spas and hot tubs taken out of Scottsdale backyards whole when the gate allows, cut down when it does not, carried out and hauled away with the panels, plumbing and cover. Price confirmed from photos before we cut anything.
A hot tub that no longer runs is 600 pounds of shell and plumbing on your patio, and it will not fit through the side gate in one piece. Haulo brings the tools and the crew: we break the tub down to pieces that will pass the gate, carry them out and load them. The pad is left bare and swept.
Same-day service runs across Scottsdale every day: Old Town and South Scottsdale condos with elevators and loading rules, McCormick Ranch and Gainey Ranch, and the gated communities from Kierland up to Grayhawk and DC Ranch. Give us the gate code and the HOA's hours and we plan inside them.
Scottsdale hot tub removal covers Old Town, South Scottsdale, McCormick Ranch, Gainey Ranch, Scottsdale Ranch, Kierland, Grayhawk and DC Ranch, plus the rest of Scottsdale. Not sure about your street? Text the address and we confirm.
What this service handles
Freestanding and portable spas, plus the panels, cover, steps and loose equipment that go with them.
Covers, cover lifters, steps and loose pumps or heaters
Removal from patios, decks, pool decks and side yards
Live electrical — the spa circuit must be switched off and the unit disconnected before we arrive
Pool chemicals and chlorine left with the unit
In-ground or gunite spas — that is concrete demolition, not hot tub removal
We assess first
Long or narrow routes to the street: a photo of the gate and the path helps
Paint — we can usually take it, but send a photo of the cans first
Units built into a deck, recessed or surrounded by permanent material — we need photos of how it sits
Gas-heated units and hardwired equipment — tell us the disconnection status
What hot tub removal costs in Scottsdale
Haulo prices from your photos and confirms the price before anything is loaded. Typical range: $350–$500 for cut-down, haul and disposal, depending on size and access. Have a budget? Say so — we would rather work with it than lose the job. What moves the number:
Prices checked 11 Sep 2026.
Water still in the unit, or equipment still connected
Whether the tub can leave whole or has to be cut down
Gate width, steps, retaining walls and the carry distance to the trailer
Unit size — a swim spa is a different job from a four-seater
Worth knowing before you call anyone: Scottsdale's brush and bulk collection is monthly by area, piles up to 10′×6′×4′ out no sooner than three days before your week, and does not take dirt, rock, sod, concrete, construction debris or hazardous waste (scottsdaleaz.gov, checked 8 Sep 2026). Haulo is a private hauler, not the city program; the trade-off is cost against timing, access and what is accepted. More typical ranges are on the pricing page.
How hot tub removal works in Scottsdale
01
Send photos and access details
Text photos of the spa from a couple of sides, the equipment panel, and the route to the street. Say whether the power is disconnected and the water drained.
02
We confirm the scope, the price and an arrival window
We reply with a price and a window, and tell you whether it will come out whole or in pieces.
03
The crew removes the agreed items and cleans up
The crew breaks the unit down as agreed, carries it out, loads it and sweeps the pad.
The shell, cabinet and plumbing go to a licensed disposal facility; metal frames, heaters and pumps are separated for recovery where a facility accepts them. A working spa in good condition is sometimes worth listing before you call us — we will say so if the photos suggest it.

Hot tub removal in Scottsdale: the monthly brush and bulk pickup or Haulo?
No bulk program in the six cities collects a hot tub in one piece; Scottsdale’s refused list also covers dirt, rock, sod, concrete, construction debris, auto parts and hazardous waste. Haulo takes spas out whole when the gate allows and cuts them down when it does not, then hauls the shell, panels, plumbing and cover, and the city pile limit (10 ft × 6 ft × 4 ft; brush and bulk in separate piles) never comes into it.
Haulo is in Scottsdale every day, with same-day service for texts before 7 p.m., Old Town and South Scottsdale condos with elevators and loading rules, McCormick Ranch and Gainey Ranch, and the gated communities from Kierland up to Grayhawk and DC Ranch included, with no waiting for up to a month.
Scottsdale pile limit
10 ft × 6 ft × 4 ft; brush and bulk in separate piles.
Scottsdale timing
Monthly, by area; out no sooner than three days before your Monday.
Not accepted by Scottsdale
Dirt, rock, sod, concrete, construction debris, auto parts and hazardous waste.

Hot Tub Removal questions from Scottsdale
What about the concrete pad or the deck it sits on?
Removing the pad is concrete work and removing the deck is light demolition; both are separate services we can quote alongside the tub.
Do I need to drain it first?
It helps, and it keeps the price down. If you cannot, tell us how much water is in it and we plan for it.
Who disconnects the power?
The spa breaker should be switched off and the unit disconnected before we arrive, by you or an electrician. We do not work on live electrical.
Will it fit through my side gate?
Most will not in one piece. We cut the tub down on the patio into sections that pass the gate, then carry them out. A photo of the gate with something for scale tells us in advance.
Scottsdale has monthly brush and bulk. Why would I pay for a hauler?
Because the pile is inside or behind a gate, because it includes material the city excludes (rock, dirt, concrete, remodel debris), or because your area's week is three weeks away and the HOA wants it gone now. If it is curbside-ready and allowed, use the city; we will say so when we see the photo.
Can I use Scottsdale bulk trash instead of Haulo for hot tub removal?
Yes, when it fits the rules: monthly, by area; out no sooner than three days before your Monday, 10 ft × 6 ft × 4 ft; brush and bulk in separate piles, and nothing on the refused list (dirt, rock, sod, concrete, construction debris, auto parts and hazardous waste). If it can wait for up to a month and you can get it to the curb, the city is the cheaper choice and we will say so. Haulo is for what does not fit: items still inside, more than 10 ft × 6 ft × 4 ft; brush and bulk in separate piles, refused materials, or a date that cannot wait for up to a month.
What does Scottsdale bulk trash refuse that Haulo will take?
Scottsdale refuses dirt, rock, sod, concrete, construction debris, auto parts and hazardous waste. Of those, Haulo takes dirt, rock, sod, concrete and construction debris, along with hot tubs, whole or cut down and oversized single items. Hazardous waste stays off our trailer as well; the what-we-cannot-take guide lists the drop-off programs.
