When a Scottsdale home has filled up beyond what a normal cleanout covers, Haulo clears it room by room, discreetly and without judgment, keeping what you say stays and hauling the rest. Unmarked crew, insured, price confirmed before we start.
This page describes the job, not the person. A hoarding cleanout is a home with years of accumulated contents — furniture, boxes, bags, papers, clothing — where paths have narrowed and the rooms need to be cleared before anything else can happen: a sale, a move, a repair, or simply living there again. Haulo does the physical clearing, at the pace the family or the occupant sets, and nothing leaves that you have not agreed to.
Same-day service runs across Scottsdale every day: Old Town and South Scottsdale condos with elevators and loading rules, McCormick Ranch and Gainey Ranch, and the gated communities from Kierland up to Grayhawk and DC Ranch. Give us the gate code and the HOA's hours and we plan inside them.
Scottsdale hoarding cleanout covers Old Town, South Scottsdale, McCormick Ranch, Gainey Ranch, Scottsdale Ranch, Kierland, Grayhawk and DC Ranch, plus the rest of Scottsdale. Not sure about your street? Text the address and we confirm.
What this service handles
Whole-home or selected-room clearing where the volume is far beyond a normal cleanout.
Bagged trash and spoiled food (tell us how much)
Phased visits over days or weeks
A keep pile respected and left untouched
Move-out sweep of cleared areas
Rooms cleared to the floor: furniture, boxes, bags and loose contents
Biohazard conditions: bodily fluids, needles, active pest infestations — a remediation company handles those first
Paint, chemicals, fuel, propane and other hazardous material found in the home
Sorting, appraising or searching for valuables — we clear what is agreed and do not go through contents
We assess first
Whether more than one visit is needed
Paint — we can usually take it, but send a photo of the cans first
Occupied homes where the occupant will be present — we plan the visit around them
Medications, firearms, documents and cash — please remove them before we start; anything obviously personal we set aside
What hoarding cleanout costs in Scottsdale
Haulo prices from your photos and confirms the price before anything is loaded. Typical range: $329–$599 per load, and these jobs are almost always more than one load; we give the total up front. Have a budget? Say so — we would rather work with it than lose the job. What moves the number:
Prices checked 11 Sep 2026.
Whether the work is phased over several visits
How many rooms are included and how full they are
How much is bagged trash versus furniture and boxes
Whether carpet and fixtures are coming out too
Worth knowing before you call anyone: Scottsdale's brush and bulk collection is monthly by area, piles up to 10′×6′×4′ out no sooner than three days before your week, and does not take dirt, rock, sod, concrete, construction debris or hazardous waste (scottsdaleaz.gov, checked 8 Sep 2026). Haulo is a private hauler, not the city program; the trade-off is cost against timing, access and what is accepted. More typical ranges are on the pricing page.
How hoarding cleanout works in Scottsdale
01
Send photos and access details
Text wide photos of each room and tell us what stays and which rooms are off limits. Say whether the home is occupied.
02
We confirm the scope, the price and an arrival window
We reply with the number of loads, the price and a plan — one visit or several. The keep list is written into it.
03
The crew removes the agreed items and cleans up
The crew clears the agreed rooms to the floor, keeps what is marked, sweeps and confirms with you before leaving.
Usable furniture and household goods go to a donation drop-off on the route — Goodwill, Habitat for Humanity ReStore or St. Vincent de Paul, whichever is convenient and accepting that day. Metal goes to a scrap recycler. Everything else goes to a licensed transfer station or landfill. We do not sort through contents for value — that is the family's decision before we arrive. Haulo does not publish a diversion percentage.

Hoarding cleanouts in Scottsdale: the monthly brush and bulk pickup or Haulo?
Scottsdale’s program collects one curbside pile from residents on city trash service, 10 ft × 6 ft × 4 ft; brush and bulk in separate piles; the contents of a whole house rarely fit, and none of it qualifies while it is still inside. Haulo carries everything out room by room, separates donations from disposal, and finishes in one visit instead of waiting for up to a month.
Haulo is in Scottsdale every day, with same-day service for texts before 7 p.m., Old Town and South Scottsdale condos with elevators and loading rules, McCormick Ranch and Gainey Ranch, and the gated communities from Kierland up to Grayhawk and DC Ranch included, with no waiting for up to a month.

Hoarding Cleanouts questions from Scottsdale
Do you clean afterwards?
We sweep the cleared areas. Deep cleaning, odor treatment and repairs are separate trades.
Will the crew be discreet?
Yes. Nothing on the trailer or the crew says what kind of job it is, we do not discuss the job with neighbors, and we do not comment on the home.
Can the occupant be there and keep things?
Yes. A keep pile or a marked room is respected. If the occupant needs to check items as they go, we build that into the pace.
Can you do it over several days?
Yes. Many of these jobs go better in stages: paths and trash first, then furniture, then the rest. Each visit is priced on its own.
Scottsdale has monthly brush and bulk. Why would I pay for a hauler?
Because the pile is inside or behind a gate, because it includes material the city excludes (rock, dirt, concrete, remodel debris), or because your area's week is three weeks away and the HOA wants it gone now. If it is curbside-ready and allowed, use the city; we will say so when we see the photo.
Can I use Scottsdale bulk trash instead of Haulo for hoarding cleanouts?
Yes, when it fits the rules: monthly, by area; out no sooner than three days before your Monday, 10 ft × 6 ft × 4 ft; brush and bulk in separate piles, and nothing on the refused list (dirt, rock, sod, concrete, construction debris, auto parts and hazardous waste). If it can wait for up to a month and you can get it to the curb, the city is the cheaper choice and we will say so. Haulo is for what does not fit: items still inside, more than 10 ft × 6 ft × 4 ft; brush and bulk in separate piles, refused materials, or a date that cannot wait for up to a month.
What does Scottsdale bulk trash refuse that Haulo will take?
Scottsdale refuses dirt, rock, sod, concrete, construction debris, auto parts and hazardous waste. Of those, Haulo takes dirt, rock, sod, concrete and construction debris, along with whole-home loads and oversized single items. Hazardous waste stays off our trailer as well; the what-we-cannot-take guide lists the drop-off programs.
