Serving Mesa, the East Valley and the Phoenix metro with upfront pricing.
Replacing a rock bed, pulling out old gravel, or clearing river rock and boulders you no longer want? Send photos. Haulo loads and hauls landscape rock and plans the loads around its weight.
Haulo Junk Removal hauls landscape rock and gravel from properties across Mesa, the East Valley and the wider Phoenix Metro: decorative rock beds being replaced with turf or new ground cover, gravel driveways and side yards being redone, river rock and rip-rap from a drainage strip, and loose boulders that can be lifted or rolled by hand. Send wide photos of the rock and the route to where a truck can park, and you get a free estimate before anything is loaded.
Rock is heavy for its size. A bed that raked up into a knee-high pile can weigh more than a full load of furniture, so the price follows the weight and the loading work, not the footprint of the pile. When a job needs more than one load, that is agreed in the estimate, with the number of loads and the total price settled before the crew arrives.
Rock that is already raked into piles loads far faster than rock still spread across a bed, and the estimate reflects that difference. Gathering spread rock, pulling the weed fabric under it, and raking the bed clean afterwards can be included when agreed; irrigation lines, edging, and anything still installed in the ground are separate work. Branches, brush, and green waste from the same yard belong under yard debris removal.

Why Haulo
Why rock is handled differently.
Weight drives the price
Gravel and rock are quoted on what they weigh to move, not on how much ground they cover. We say so before you book, so a compact pile is never a surprise.
Piled beats spread
Rock already raked into piles is faster to load. If it is still spread across a bed, gathering it is real work and the estimate includes it when you want it done.
Loads agreed in advance
A large bed can take more than one trip. The number of loads and the total price are agreed before the crew arrives.

How a rock pickup works.
01
Send photos of the rock
Wide shots of the bed or pile, a close-up showing the rock size, and the path to where a truck can park.
02
We confirm the scope and the price
You get a free estimate for the agreed material, including gathering if the rock is still spread, and the number of loads if it is more than one.
03
The crew gathers and loads
Our crew does the loading. Rock does not need to be moved to the curb first.
04
Bed cleared, then paid
The area is raked clean of loose rock where that was agreed. Payment follows the completed work under the agreed terms.
Rock is priced on weight and loading work rather than a visible volume, so there are no flat rates here. The estimate is built from:
How much rock there is, by weight as much as by pile size
Whether it is already raked into piles or still spread across a bed
Carry distance, gates, steps, and anything the crew must walk it past
Whether more than one load is needed for the agreed material
Weed fabric, edging, dirt, or pavers mixed in that must come out with it
Any agreed extra work, such as raking the bed clean afterwards
Text photos to (480) 299-4648 and the estimate comes back with the load count and the price for the agreed material. See how Haulo pricing works for the general approach.

Rock and gravel removal questions.
Do I need to rake the rock into a pile first?
You can, and it lowers the loading work. If you would rather not, say so; gathering spread rock can be included in the estimate. Either way, photograph the bed as it is so the estimate matches the job.
How is rock removal priced?
By weight and loading work, not by the size of the bed. Send photos of the whole area; the estimate confirms the price for the agreed material and whether it needs more than one load.
Can you take the weed fabric and edging too?
Weed fabric and loose edging that come up with the rock can go in the same load when they are in the photos. Edging still set in concrete, and irrigation or drip lines, are separate work and stay unless agreed.
What about boulders?
Boulders that can be lifted or rolled by hand can be included; send a photo with something for scale. Boulders that need equipment to move are outside this service, and we will say so rather than attempt it.
Can you haul the rock and the old plants together?
Yes, when both are in the photos. Rock is quoted as heavy material and green waste as yard debris; see yard debris removal for what that side covers.
Will you spread new rock afterwards?
No. This service removes and hauls; landscaping and spreading new material are not included.
Still not sure about something? Text a photo to (480) 299-4648 and we’ll tell you.
The gravel layer covering this front yard came out along with the tree and grasses growing through it, leaving bare dirt. The same crew and trailer handle river rock and decorative stone.
Cleared a Mesa front yard down to bare dirt: took out a mesquite tree along with the tall grasses and weeds, then hauled off the layer of landscape gravel that covered the yard.
Loaded and hauled broken lava-rock landscape edging and a cracked concrete urn out of a Mesa garage. Heavy material like this is priced by weight rather than volume.

Ready to lose the rock?
