When a Phoenix home has filled up beyond what a normal cleanout covers, Haulo clears it room by room, discreetly and without judgment, keeping what you say stays and hauling the rest. Unmarked crew, insured, price confirmed before we start.
This page describes the job, not the person. A hoarding cleanout is a home with years of accumulated contents — furniture, boxes, bags, papers, clothing — where paths have narrowed and the rooms need to be cleared before anything else can happen: a sale, a move, a repair, or simply living there again. Haulo does the physical clearing, at the pace the family or the occupant sets, and nothing leaves that you have not agreed to.
Same-day service runs across Phoenix every day: Ahwatukee and Arcadia are closest to home, then Biltmore, Midtown, North Central and up to Desert Ridge. Alley access is common in the older neighborhoods, so tell us where a trailer can actually park.
Phoenix hoarding cleanout covers Ahwatukee, Arcadia, Biltmore, Downtown Phoenix, Midtown, North Central, Paradise Valley Village and Desert Ridge, plus the rest of Phoenix. Not sure about your street? Text the address and we confirm.
What this service handles
Whole-home or selected-room clearing where the volume is far beyond a normal cleanout.
Phased visits over days or weeks
A keep pile respected and left untouched
Move-out sweep of cleared areas
Rooms cleared to the floor: furniture, boxes, bags and loose contents
Kitchen, bath and closet contents
Carpet pulled and hauled where it is being replaced
Biohazard conditions: bodily fluids, needles, active pest infestations — a remediation company handles those first
Paint, chemicals, fuel, propane and other hazardous material found in the home
Sorting, appraising or searching for valuables — we clear what is agreed and do not go through contents
We assess first
Paint — we can usually take it, but send a photo of the cans first
Occupied homes where the occupant will be present — we plan the visit around them
Medications, firearms, documents and cash — please remove them before we start; anything obviously personal we set aside
Structural or safety concerns: sagging floors, blocked exits, no lighting
What hoarding cleanout costs in Phoenix
Haulo prices from your photos and confirms the price before anything is loaded. Typical range: $329–$599 per load, and these jobs are almost always more than one load; we give the total up front. Have a budget? Say so — we would rather work with it than lose the job. What moves the number:
Prices checked 11 Sep 2026.
How many rooms are included and how full they are
How much is bagged trash versus furniture and boxes
Whether carpet and fixtures are coming out too
Access: narrow paths, stairs, long carries, parking distance
Worth knowing before you call anyone: Phoenix gives residential customers four bulk trash pickups a year, by appointment, one pile up to 10 cubic yards within 5 feet of the curb, and does not take hazardous waste, tires, appliances with refrigerant, construction material or concrete (phoenix.gov, checked 8 Sep 2026). Haulo is a private hauler, not the city program; the trade-off is cost against timing, access and what is accepted. More typical ranges are on the pricing page.
How hoarding cleanout works in Phoenix
01
Send photos and access details
Text wide photos of each room and tell us what stays and which rooms are off limits. Say whether the home is occupied.
02
We confirm the scope, the price and an arrival window
We reply with the number of loads, the price and a plan — one visit or several. The keep list is written into it.
03
The crew removes the agreed items and cleans up
The crew clears the agreed rooms to the floor, keeps what is marked, sweeps and confirms with you before leaving.
Usable furniture and household goods go to a donation drop-off on the route — Goodwill, Habitat for Humanity ReStore or St. Vincent de Paul, whichever is convenient and accepting that day. Metal goes to a scrap recycler. Everything else goes to a licensed transfer station or landfill. We do not sort through contents for value — that is the family's decision before we arrive. Haulo does not publish a diversion percentage.

Haulo has not documented a hoarding cleanout job in Phoenix yet. This is the same crew and trailer on a Mesa job — actual before and after frames.
Worked through a heavily filled Mesa home and cleared the accumulated contents from the dining room, living room, and bedroom, taking out the furniture along with the bagged and boxed belongings stacked across the floors, then pulled the carpet in the living room and bedroom and hauled it away.

Hoarding cleanouts in Phoenix: the four-a-year bulk appointments or Haulo?
Phoenix’s program collects one curbside pile from residents on city trash service, up to 10 cubic yards within 5 ft of the curb; the contents of a whole house rarely fit, and none of it qualifies while it is still inside. Haulo carries everything out room by room, separates donations from disposal, and finishes in one visit instead of waiting for the next appointment, which can be weeks out.
Haulo is in Phoenix every day, with same-day service for texts before 7 p.m., Ahwatukee and Arcadia are closest to home, then Biltmore, Midtown, North Central and up to Desert Ridge included, with no waiting for the next appointment, which can be weeks out.
Phoenix pile limit
Up to 10 cubic yards within 5 ft of the curb.
Phoenix timing
Four appointments a year; out by 5:30 a.m. on the date.
Not accepted by Phoenix
Household hazardous waste, tires, glass, appliances with refrigerant, construction material, concrete and trunks over 4 feet.

Hoarding Cleanouts questions from Phoenix
Will the crew be discreet?
Yes. Nothing on the trailer or the crew says what kind of job it is, we do not discuss the job with neighbors, and we do not comment on the home.
Can the occupant be there and keep things?
Yes. A keep pile or a marked room is respected. If the occupant needs to check items as they go, we build that into the pace.
Can you do it over several days?
Yes. Many of these jobs go better in stages: paths and trash first, then furniture, then the rest. Each visit is priced on its own.
What if there are pests or biohazards?
A remediation company needs to deal with those first; we can come in after. Tell us what you know and we will be straight about whether it is a job for us.
Phoenix bulk trash is by appointment now. Is that easier than calling you?
For a curbside pile of ordinary items, possibly, if one of your four yearly appointments is available soon. Haulo makes sense when the items are inside, when they include a fridge, remodel debris or concrete, or when the next appointment is weeks out.
Can I use Phoenix bulk trash instead of Haulo for hoarding cleanouts?
Yes, when it fits the rules: four appointments a year; out by 5:30 a.m. on the date, up to 10 cubic yards within 5 ft of the curb, and nothing on the refused list (household hazardous waste, tires, glass, appliances with refrigerant, construction material, concrete and trunks over 4 feet). If it can wait for the next appointment, which can be weeks out and you can get it to the curb, the city is the cheaper choice and we will say so. Haulo is for what does not fit: items still inside, more than up to 10 cubic yards within 5 ft of the curb, refused materials, or a date that cannot wait for the next appointment, which can be weeks out.
What does Phoenix bulk trash refuse that Haulo will take?
Phoenix refuses household hazardous waste, tires, glass, appliances with refrigerant, construction material, concrete and trunks over 4 feet. Of those, Haulo takes refrigerant appliances, construction material, concrete and trunks over 4 feet, along with whole-home loads and oversized single items. Tires and household hazardous waste stay off our trailer too; the what-we-cannot-take guide lists where they go.
