Phoenix appliance service

Appliance Removal Phoenix AZ

Refrigerators, washers, dryers, ranges, dishwashers and water heaters carried out of Phoenix homes, garages and rentals and hauled away. Insured crew, our own people, price confirmed from your photos before we lift anything.

A dead fridge in the garage or a washer that finally quit is heavy, awkward and too big for the bin. Haulo brings the dolly and straps, takes the appliance out through whatever door, hallway or side gate stands between it and the trailer, and hauls it away. You do not need to drag it to the curb.

Same-day service runs across Phoenix every day: Ahwatukee and Arcadia are closest to home, then Biltmore, Midtown, North Central and up to Desert Ridge. Alley access is common in the older neighborhoods, so tell us where a trailer can actually park.

Phoenix appliance removal covers Ahwatukee, Arcadia, Biltmore, Downtown Phoenix, Midtown, North Central, Paradise Valley Village and Desert Ridge, plus the rest of Phoenix. Not sure about your street? Text the address and we confirm.

What this service handles

Household and light-commercial appliances, working or not, from homes, apartments, garages, rentals and offices.

  • Window and portable AC units
  • Wine fridges, mini fridges and ice makers
  • Several appliances in one trip during a move or turnover
  • Refrigerators and freezers (upright, chest, side-by-side)
  • Washers and dryers, stacked or side by side
  • Ranges, ovens, cooktops and range hoods

What we cannot take, and what we assess first

The short version for Phoenix; the full policy is on the regional appliance removal page.

We cannot take

  • Solvents, thinners, stains and other flammable liquids
  • Gasoline, motor oil, antifreeze and other automotive fluids
  • Propane tanks and other gas cylinders

We assess first

  • Paint — we can usually take it, but send a photo of the cans first
  • Hardwired, gas-connected or plumbed units — tell us whether the connection has already been shut off and disconnected
  • Built-in units still fastened into cabinetry
  • Commercial refrigeration and large walk-in components

What appliance removal costs in Phoenix

Haulo prices from your photos and confirms the price before anything is loaded. Typical range: $125–$225 for one or two appliances; a single unit is often at the minimum of $99. Have a budget? Say so — we would rather work with it than lose the job. What moves the number:

Prices checked 11 Sep 2026.

  • How many appliances are going, and their size
  • Stairs, elevators, tight turns and long carries to the trailer
  • Whether a unit is still connected and needs to wait on a disconnection
  • Built-in or fastened units that take extra time to free

Worth knowing before you call anyone: Phoenix gives residential customers four bulk trash pickups a year, by appointment, one pile up to 10 cubic yards within 5 feet of the curb, and does not take hazardous waste, tires, appliances with refrigerant, construction material or concrete (phoenix.gov, checked 8 Sep 2026). Haulo is a private hauler, not the city program; the trade-off is cost against timing, access and what is accepted. More typical ranges are on the pricing page.

How appliance removal works in Phoenix

  1. 01

    Send photos and access details

Text a photo of each appliance and the path to where a truck can park, and say whether it is still connected.

  2. 02

We confirm the scope, the price and an arrival window

We reply with a price and a same-day or next-available window. If a gas or water line still needs disconnecting, we tell you before the visit.

  3. 03

The crew removes the agreed items and cleans up

The crew carries the unit out, loads it, sweeps up from under it and takes payment when the job is done.

What happens to the items

Appliances go to a scrap recycler for metal recovery, with refrigerant-bearing units handled so the refrigerant is recovered properly. A working unit in good condition goes to a donation drop-off on the route — Habitat for Humanity ReStore or St. Vincent de Paul, whichever is accepting that day — when it will be taken; that depends on the unit, so it is not something we promise. Haulo does not publish a diversion percentage.

Appliance removal in Phoenix: the four-a-year bulk appointments or Haulo?

Phoenix’s program refuses appliances with refrigerant, so refrigerators, freezers and AC units never go in the bulk pile; other appliances can wait for one of your four yearly appointments. Haulo takes all of them, refrigerant units included, and comes the same day instead of waiting for the next appointment, which can be weeks out.

Haulo is in Phoenix every day, with same-day service for texts before 7 p.m., Ahwatukee and Arcadia are closest to home, then Biltmore, Midtown, North Central and up to Desert Ridge included, with no waiting for the next appointment, which can be weeks out.

Phoenix pile limit

Up to 10 cubic yards within 5 ft of the curb.

Phoenix timing

Four appointments a year; out by 5:30 a.m. on the date.

Not accepted by Phoenix

Household hazardous waste, tires, glass, appliances with refrigerant, construction material, concrete and trunks over 4 feet.

Figures (four appointments a year; out by 5:30 a.m. on the date) as published on 8 Sep 2026; the six-city comparison is in the bulk trash guide, and everything Haulo does locally is on the Phoenix page.

Appliance Removal questions from Phoenix

Do I need to disconnect the appliance first?
Electric units that simply plug in: no, we unplug them. Gas, hardwired or plumbed units (ranges, dryers, dishwashers, water heaters) should be shut off and disconnected before we arrive, by you or a qualified tradesperson. Tell us the status when you send the photo.
Can you get a fridge down the stairs or out of an apartment?
Yes. Stairs, elevators and narrow halls are normal for us; a photo of the stairwell or the tightest doorway lets us plan the carry and price it correctly.
Do you take a fridge that still has refrigerant in it?
Yes. Refrigerant-bearing appliances go to a facility that recovers the refrigerant properly. You do not need to have it evacuated first.
Can you take other things in the same trip?
Please do. Furniture, boxes, yard debris or a garage corner can go on the same load, and it is usually the cheapest way to get everything gone at once.
Phoenix bulk trash is by appointment now. Is that easier than calling you?
For a curbside pile of ordinary items, possibly, if one of your four yearly appointments is available soon. Haulo makes sense when the items are inside, when they include a fridge, remodel debris or concrete, or when the next appointment is weeks out.
Can I use Phoenix bulk trash instead of Haulo for appliance removal?
Yes, when it fits the rules: four appointments a year; out by 5:30 a.m. on the date, up to 10 cubic yards within 5 ft of the curb, and nothing on the refused list (household hazardous waste, tires, glass, appliances with refrigerant, construction material, concrete and trunks over 4 feet). If it can wait for the next appointment, which can be weeks out and you can get it to the curb, the city is the cheaper choice and we will say so. Haulo is for what does not fit: items still inside, more than up to 10 cubic yards within 5 ft of the curb, refused materials, or a date that cannot wait for the next appointment, which can be weeks out.
What does Phoenix bulk trash refuse that Haulo will take?
Phoenix refuses household hazardous waste, tires, glass, appliances with refrigerant, construction material, concrete and trunks over 4 feet. Of those, Haulo takes refrigerant appliances, construction material, concrete and trunks over 4 feet, along with appliances of every kind and oversized single items. Tires and household hazardous waste stay off our trailer too; the what-we-cannot-take guide lists where they go.
