Boxes, old furniture, tires, broken tools and the bins nobody has opened in years — carried out of Tempe garages, loaded and swept up in one visit. You point, we haul. Price confirmed from photos before we start.
A garage fills up one "deal with it later" at a time until the car lives in the driveway. Haulo clears it in a single visit: you tell us what stays, the crew carries everything else to the trailer, and the floor gets swept before we leave. You do not have to sort it, bag it or move it outside first.
Same-day service runs across Tempe every day: apartments and rentals around ASU and downtown with elevators, stairs and tight parking, the older neighborhoods like Maple-Ash and Mitchell Park where alley access matters, and the family homes in Warner Ranch, The Lakes and south Tempe.
Tempe garage cleanout covers Downtown Tempe and ASU, Maple-Ash, Mitchell Park, Kiwanis Park, Warner Ranch, The Lakes and South Tempe, plus the rest of Tempe. Not sure about your street? Text the address and we confirm.
What this service handles
Everything typically stored in a residential garage, whether you want one corner cleared or the whole space emptied.
Solvents, thinners, stains and other flammable liquids
Gasoline, motor oil, antifreeze and other automotive fluids
Propane tanks and other gas cylinders
Pool chemicals, pesticides, fertilizers and unknown liquids
We assess first
Anything you are not sure is trash — put it in a separate pile and we leave it
Paint — we can usually take it, but send a photo of the cans first
Car batteries, small electronics and e-waste — a photo tells us whether they can ride along
What garage cleanout costs in Tempe
Haulo prices from your photos and confirms the price before anything is loaded. Typical range: $275–$450 for a full single garage (about a half load); a corner is less, a packed double garage can run to a full load at about $599. Have a budget? Say so — we would rather work with it than lose the job. What moves the number:
Prices checked 11 Sep 2026.
Carry distance from the garage to where the trailer can park
Whether any of it needs taking apart to fit out the door
How much is going — a corner, half the garage or all of it
Bulky pieces that take trailer space: furniture, mattresses, appliances
Worth knowing before you call anyone: Tempe's bulk collection for residential customers is every other month, up to 10 cubic yards out by 6 a.m. Monday of your week, and does not take freon appliances, tires, glass, dirt, rock, concrete or construction debris (tempe.gov, checked 8 Sep 2026). Haulo is a private hauler, not the city program; the trade-off is cost against timing, access and what is accepted. More typical ranges are on the pricing page.
How garage cleanout works in Tempe
01
Send photos and access details
Text a wide photo of the garage and a close-up of each crowded area. Tell us what stays.
02
We confirm the scope, the price and an arrival window
We reply with a price and a window. If something needs a second look, we ask before the visit.
03
The crew removes the agreed items and cleans up
The crew carries everything agreed to the trailer, sweeps the floor and takes payment when you have looked it over.
Usable furniture and household goods go to a donation drop-off on the route — Goodwill, Habitat for Humanity ReStore or St. Vincent de Paul, whichever is convenient and accepting that day. Metal goes to a scrap recycler. Everything else goes to a licensed transfer station or landfill. What can be donated depends on condition, and Haulo does not publish a diversion percentage.

Emptied an older Tempe single-car garage stacked to the door with boxes, a folding table piled with blankets and decor, a plywood sheet, a metal cabinet, a toolbox and loose household goods, and left it clear to the slab. A plywood panel, a few boards and the wall decor stayed.

Garage cleanouts in Tempe: the every-other-month bulk pickup or Haulo?
A full garage rarely fits the city limit of up to 10 cubic yards at the curb, and every box, shelf and tire has to be carried to the curb by you before the city date (every other month; out by 6 a.m. Monday of your week). Haulo empties the garage from the inside, loads it in one visit and sweeps the slab, priced from your photos before anything moves and with no wait for up to two months.
Haulo is in Tempe every day, with same-day service for texts before 7 p.m., apartments and rentals around ASU and downtown with elevators, stairs and tight parking, the older neighborhoods like Maple-Ash and Mitchell Park where alley access matters, and the family homes in Warner Ranch included, with no waiting for up to two months.

Garage Cleanouts questions from Tempe
Can furniture and appliances go with the clutter?
Yes, all in one visit. Old fridges, freezers and washers stored in the garage are normal for us.
How long does it take?
Most single-garage cleanouts are done in one visit. Larger garages or ones with heavy material may need more than one load; we tell you that when we price it.
Do I have to sort or bag anything first?
No. Point out what stays and we handle the rest. If you want to pull keepsakes out first, do that; everything left in the agreed area goes.
Can you clear just one section of the garage?
Yes. Mark the section or the pieces in your photos and say what stays. The price covers only what is marked for removal.
I rent in Tempe. Does the city bulk pickup cover me?
Only if your building is on residential city collection, and it runs every other month. Most apartment turnovers cannot wait for that and the pile is upstairs anyway. Text photos, tell us the floor and whether there is an elevator, and we schedule around the building.
Can I use Tempe bulk trash instead of Haulo for garage cleanouts?
Yes, when it fits the rules: every other month; out by 6 a.m. Monday of your week, up to 10 cubic yards at the curb, and nothing on the refused list (appliances with freon, tires, glass, mirrors, hazardous chemicals, car parts, dirt, rock, concrete and construction debris). If it can wait for up to two months and you can get it to the curb, the city is the cheaper choice and we will say so. Haulo is for what does not fit: items still inside, more than up to 10 cubic yards at the curb, refused materials, or a date that cannot wait for up to two months.
What does Tempe bulk trash refuse that Haulo will take?
Tempe refuses appliances with freon, tires, glass, mirrors, hazardous chemicals, car parts, dirt, rock, concrete and construction debris. Of those, Haulo takes freon appliances, dirt, rock, concrete and construction debris, along with whole-garage loads and oversized single items. Tires and hazardous chemicals stay off our trailer as well; the what-we-cannot-take guide lists the drop-off programs.
