Gilbert estate service

Estate Cleanouts Gilbert AZ

Clearing a Gilbert home after a loss, a move into care or a long-distance family handover. You decide what stays; Haulo carries out the rest, room by room, and leaves the place swept. Insured crew, our own people, price confirmed before we start.

An estate cleanout is rarely just hauling. There are keepsakes to find, paperwork to keep, a property to hand back or get ready for sale, and often family out of state trying to coordinate it all. Haulo handles the physical part so you can handle the decisions — one room today and the rest next week, or the whole property in a single visit.

Same-day service runs across Gilbert every day: newer HOA subdivisions like Power Ranch, Seville and Morrison Ranch with big garages and strict street rules, the lake communities around Val Vista Lakes and The Islands, and the older lots near the Heritage District. Tell us the gate code and any HOA hours and we work inside them.

Gilbert estate cleanout covers Val Vista Lakes, Power Ranch, Agritopia, Morrison Ranch, Seville, The Islands, Higley Groves and the Heritage District, plus the rest of Gilbert. Not sure about your street? Text the address and we confirm.

What this service handles

Whole-property or selected-room clearing of a house, condo, apartment or mobile home, plus its garage, shed and storage.

  • Kitchen, bath and closet contents
  • Appliances and electronics
  • Boxes, bags and accumulated household goods
  • Garage, shed, patio and storage contents
  • Carpet and loose fixtures already pulled
  • Move-out sweep of the cleared areas

What we cannot take, and what we assess first

The short version for Gilbert; the full policy is on the regional estate cleanout page.

We cannot take

  • Solvents, thinners, stains and other flammable liquids
  • Gasoline, motor oil, antifreeze and other automotive fluids
  • Propane tanks and other gas cylinders
  • Pool chemicals, pesticides, fertilizers and unknown liquids
  • Asbestos, lead-contaminated material and mold-remediation waste
  • Medical or biohazard waste

We assess first

  • Firearms, ammunition, safes and medications — please remove them before we arrive; we will tell you if we find any
  • Documents, photographs, jewelry, keys, titles and anything with personal data — set aside first; the crew does not appraise or sort
  • Occupied units or shared buildings with elevator bookings or loading rules
  • Very heavy pieces (pianos, gun safes) — a photo lets us plan the carry

What estate cleanout costs in Gilbert

Haulo prices from your photos and confirms the price before anything is loaded. Typical range: $329–$599 per load; a full house is usually two or more loads, and we tell you the count from the photos. Have a budget? Say so — we would rather work with it than lose the job. What moves the number:

Prices checked 11 Sep 2026.

  • Stairs, elevators, long carries and parking distance
  • Heavy or awkward pieces: pianos, safes, large appliances
  • Whether the family wants it done in phases or in one visit
  • Sweep-only or a deeper clear of garages, sheds and closets

Worth knowing before you call anyone: Gilbert's bulk trash comes every five weeks, one curbside pile up to 10′×5′×5′, and does not take washers, dryers, refrigerators, stoves, water heaters, TVs or construction debris (gilbertaz.gov, checked 8 Sep 2026). Haulo is a private hauler, not the city program; the trade-off is cost against timing, access and what is accepted. More typical ranges are on the pricing page.

How estate cleanout works in Gilbert

  1. 01

    Send photos and access details

Text photos of each area that is going and tell us what must stay. Let us know who will give us access and whether there are building rules.

  2. 02

We confirm the scope, the price and an arrival window

We reply with a price, the number of loads and a window. Retained items and off-limits rooms are written into the plan.

  3. 03

The crew removes the agreed items and cleans up

The crew clears the agreed rooms, carries everything to the trailer, sweeps and confirms with you before leaving.

What happens to the items

Usable furniture and household goods go to a donation drop-off on the route — Goodwill, Habitat for Humanity ReStore or St. Vincent de Paul, whichever is convenient and accepting that day. Metal goes to a scrap recycler. Everything else goes to a licensed transfer station or landfill. This depends on condition and on who is accepting that day, so Haulo does not promise a donation outcome or publish a diversion percentage. If a specific item must go to a specific place, tell us and we keep it separate.

Estate cleanouts in Gilbert: the five-week bulk pickup or Haulo?

Gilbert’s program collects one curbside pile from residents on city trash service, one pile, 10 ft × 5 ft × 5 ft, at the curb; the contents of a whole house rarely fit, and none of it qualifies while it is still inside. Haulo carries everything out room by room, separates donations from disposal, and finishes in one visit instead of waiting for up to five weeks.

Haulo is in Gilbert every day, with same-day service for texts before 7 p.m., newer HOA subdivisions like Power Ranch, Seville and Morrison Ranch with big garages and strict street rules, the lake communities around Val Vista Lakes and The Islands, and the older lots near the Heritage District included, with no waiting for up to five weeks.

Gilbert pile limit

One pile, 10 ft × 5 ft × 5 ft, at the curb.

Gilbert timing

Every five weeks; out by 5 a.m. Monday of your week.

Not accepted by Gilbert

Washers, dryers, refrigerators, stoves, water heaters, TVs and construction debris.

Estate Cleanouts questions from Gilbert

Who has to be there?
Whoever has authority over the property and can confirm what leaves — an executor, family member, property manager or their representative. If nobody can be present, we work from a written scope you confirm by text and photos.
Will you look for valuables or documents?
No. The crew removes what is in the agreed areas and does not sort, appraise or search. Please set aside papers, photos, jewelry, medication and anything with personal data first. Anything obviously personal we come across is set aside and you are told.
Do you clean the house afterwards?
We sweep the cleared areas of loose debris. Deep cleaning, repairs and paint are not part of the service.
What if the family lives out of state?
Send a walkthrough video or photos from whoever has the keys, confirm the scope by text and arrange access. Payment is taken when the job is done and you have seen the after photos.
Gilbert has bulk trash every five weeks. Why call Haulo?
Three reasons people do: the pile is inside the house or garage rather than at the curb, it includes something the town will not take (appliances, TVs, remodel debris), or it cannot wait for the next five-week window. If none of those apply, the town program is free and we will tell you to use it.
Can I use Gilbert bulk trash instead of Haulo for estate cleanouts?
Yes, when it fits the rules: every five weeks; out by 5 a.m. Monday of your week, one pile, 10 ft × 5 ft × 5 ft, at the curb, and nothing on the refused list (washers, dryers, refrigerators, stoves, water heaters, TVs and construction debris). If it can wait for up to five weeks and you can get it to the curb, the city is the cheaper choice and we will say so. Haulo is for what does not fit: items still inside, more than one pile, 10 ft × 5 ft × 5 ft, at the curb, refused materials, or a date that cannot wait for up to five weeks.
What does Gilbert bulk trash refuse that Haulo will take?
Gilbert refuses washers, dryers, refrigerators, stoves, water heaters, TVs and construction debris. Of those, Haulo takes every item on that list, washers and refrigerators included, along with whole-property loads and oversized single items. Nothing Gilbert refuses is something Haulo refuses; the limits that apply to us are hazardous waste and tires, which are not on the town list.
